THIS morning I was talking to the lady who lives by the lock side at Tyrley. She told me that yesterday no fewer than five BW workers had appeared at various times during the day to do jobs around the lock.

THE broken handrail on Lock 4 at Tyrley first mentioned by me in February has finally been mended by a contractor who took about 15 minutes to do the job. I wonder how much that cost BW?

MORE than ever I'm becoming convinced that boaters' safety is coming a good second to that of BW's staff. Instead of maintaining the waterway they are still at their fencing games.
