Yesterday's local paper had a CART gem in it. It seems CART had a 'do' at the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct with the celebrations involving illuminating the aqueduct (very prettily) in multi-coloured lights, writes Ruth Cragg.
 After this they immediately announced their first appeal to raise £3,000 for essential work along the Llangollen canal,
The spin
The spin put on by Hugh Dennis was that the essential work was to make towpaths more special, and even a small donation will make a huge difference to people and nature along your local waterway.
