Severn changing hourly
Saturday, 14 July 2012 08:26

THE Severn was closed again at Upper Lode and Gloucester Locks at 2pm yesterday (Friday)  afternoon, with the level changing hourly.

The lockie at Diglis thinks it is because they are running excess water off the Avon at Tewkesbury, Jackie Vowles writes.

Regularly check

Unfortunately the condition of the Severn is changing on an hourly basis not a daily basis. If anyone is heading this way they need to regularly check with the lock keepers on the Severn.

We are still sitting waiting........

Another contributor, Roger Olver tells us he is bobbing up and down on the Avon at Bidford as the river rises, then falls then rises, but is watching the varying information about the Severn quite closely at the moment.
