Moorings under water. Benson Lock. Thames
Trent partly open
Friday, 13 July 2012 12:31

WE ARE told that Sawley Flood Lock 'is no longer in operation' and Cranfleet Flood Gates are now open, but the water levels are still high and boaters are advised to proceed with caution.

However the Trent, fed by the Soar, is still in flood between Cranfleet and Beeston, so is still closed, with boaters advised not to travel along this part of the navigation until further notice.

Boater Jackie Vowles tells us the Severn is now open from Stourport to Gloucester.
