I have been following the discussion about pins and screws and the like for mooring with interest, writes Roger Fox.
I have been using 24in marquee pegs for years, and have rarely experienced problems. The worst time was when a hire boat moored immediately behind me on the Trent & Mersey took both of them out from a standing start!
