BRITISH Waterways has admitted defeat with its property 'investment' at Giants Basin on the Bridgewater Canal at Castlefield in Manchester.
 Bought only seven years ago, we are told the office building at the basin, like many similar investments, has 'not provided reasonable returns'.
Inviting offers
British Waterways have instructed property consultants Sanderson Weatherall to sell off the building, and are inviting offers in the region of £1.1m.
No reason has been forthcoming for the sale, but it is known that over half of the 10,000 square feet of office space is empty. |
