Ray mentions in his email that perhaps an annual trip around their 'patch' by boat by CART managers would be a good idea.  Totally agree!

This is just another good regular practice performed by the (very) old canal companies (remember the inspection launches of old) that has disappeared. It has gone, just like lengthsmen and now lock and weir keepers is following suite.  What price progress eh!
