You are right about Waterscape.com (it does revert to Canal and River Trust) but a link such as https://www.waterscape.com/media/documents/33.pdf does work (for the upstream guide) - as a former IT professional for a large airline it does seem to me that the move of the IT estate has been somewhat shortsighted and undertaken without much thought to the user but that seems to be a recurring theme in this transfer if it be 'on the ground' or in the ether.

If you search for 'tidal thames upstream guide' or 'tidal thames downstream guide' a search engine (such as Google - others available!) should give you a link to the documents.

Kathryn.

Sorry Kathryn, as far as I am aware Waterscape website is no longer live, there is just an automatic forward to CART new website which is decidedly thin on useful information.

Brentford Lock is  020 8568 2779  - it's in the 'Upstream' and 'Downstream' documents which are on the Waterscape Website.  If you are going via Teddington Lock they will generally ring Brentford for you.

It doesn't appear to me as if the IT transfer from BW to CaRT has been undertaken with much thought for the customer.

Kathryn

This weekend I need to transit from the Thames through Brentford Locks. No where can I find the phone number for Brentford Lock keeper. The new Cart site is of no use whatever. Waterscrape was bad enough but as usual, things have been made worse in my opinion.

Both work ok for me, both yesterday and today.

Victor hasn't been exploring far enough. The stoppage information too has gone walkabout. The link that should be to the Waterscape stoppages page now takes you to the CART boating page. The stoppages link takes you to a page that says (I Paraphrase) "Stoppage info coming soon, meanwhile click this link to the Waterscape stoppages page" Three guesses where the link takes you..... Right in one, the CART boating page! BW's web team were info0rmed of this on Friday. Given that the stoppages page links to imporant safety information like opening times of locks giving refuge from tidal waters its absence is little short of criminal.
