Another boat builder goes bust

WILLIAM Piper Narrowboats, it is now officially released, is the latest boat builder to go into liquidation, and has ceased trading.

Not to be confused with the very active Piper Boats of Biddulph, at Stoke-on-Trent, William Piper Narrowboats went into liquidation being unable to meet it debts.

Under construction

Boats were under construction at the time of the liquidation, but it is not known what will happen to them, or if they will be sold to go towards the creditors.

It is understood that some of the company were setting up a new company to build narrowboats.

The company won an award at Crick Show this year for one of its designs.
