Money to waste?

THE shortage of cash for local councils does not seem to have affected Eton Town Council, who want to add an unnecessary arch to the existing Windsor Bridge over the Thames.

If the councillors get their way, they will have the extra arch built to commemorate the Olympics, which will cost an estimated £460,000.

This however is causing controversy with people believing the money could be better spent on something useful, rather than something that serves no purpose whatsoever, and would most likely spoil what is an attractive bridge over the river.
