One rescued but one not

ONE DOG was lucky in that he was rescued from a canal, but another was not, and was found dead.
A dog was rescued from a lock at Lowsonford on the Stratford Canal having become wedged behind the lock ladder, with RSPCA personnel getting a boater to empty the lock so it could be rescued.
One went down the ladder to pass the animal up on to the lock side, where it was dried and taken to kennels.
Not so lucky
However another dog in the Tame Valley Canal was not so lucky as this was found floating near Great Barr, and had been there an estimated two days.
The RSPCA has launched an investigation to establish how the animal ended up in the canal, reporting that it had a name collar as Ben, and the dog seemed to have been well cared for.
