Factory workers clear towpath

EMPLOYEES at Unite Modular Solutions in Stonehouse were so disgusted at the state of the towpath by the Stroudwater that they volunteered to clear it.

Seven of them turned out and cleared the vegetation and debris from the towpath by their factory, to make it easier for walkers and cyclists, and make it more pleasant.

The initiative was launched to support the ongoing restoration of canals, and the project was supported by the Cotswold Canals Trust.
