Towpath knife attack on jogger

A MAN jogging on the Grand Union Canal towpath at Berkhamsted was stopped by a thief and robbed at knife point.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery that took place last week under a canal bridge near the Hall Park area, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Chest injuries

It was around 10.30pm that the man was stopped by an Asian man in his late 20's who demanded his mobile phone and cash, then attacked  with a blade, causing his victim  injuries to his chest.

Detective Constable Kevin Deudon, investigating the attack pointed out that this was 'an extremely unusual incident for Berkhamsted which we are fully investigating'.
