Watch out for punters

PUNTERS in this case being students on a 200 miles trip along the waterways to raise money for Help the Heroes.

Four Cambridge University students will  set off on a 200 miles, 12 days long punt on Saturday 19th June from Jesus Lock on the Cam to Great Meadow at Oxford, taking in the River Great Ouse, the Middle Level Navigations, the Nene,  Grand Union Canal, Oxford Canal and finally the  Cherwell.

British veterans

The trip is in support of Help for Heroes, a charity aiding British veterans wounded in current conflicts, with the four being  Toby Dickens, Rebecka Kiff, Andy Marshall and Karl Williams, who aim to raise £2,000 for the  cause.

They expect to arrive at the Great Meadow in Oxford on Wednesday 30th, with all the crew at present in training for their marathon trip.

Help For Heroes seeks to help those returning from combat with physical and psychological injuries.
