Still hope for Mann's Bridge

Published: Monday, 19 April 2010

THERE is still hope that the A46 widening at Mann's Bridge on the Grantham Canal could  be built allowing height for boats to pass underneath.

At the inquiry that is taking place, it was suggested that there could be adaptations to the over-engineered Fosseway Bridge to make savings to meet the cost of Mann's Bridge.

Few lines

However the copy of the Highways Agency Summing Up included just a few lines on the canal.

The MP for Gedling was due to meet with the  minister but this was cancelled on legal grounds. The Report is due in London at the end of this month.
