Bridge to create 1,600 jobs

A NEW bridge over the Leeds & Liverpool Canal will create 1,600 new jobs for Burnley, it is claimed.
Developers of the Burnley Bridge Business Park, to be built on the former Hepworth's site near Hapton, made this claim when putting forward plans for the new bridge over the waterway to serve a new combined commercial and housing development.
The local council have giving permission for bridge that will be built to take a new road, with work expected to be completed by Autumn 2011.
No information is yet available about the constructions causing stoppages on the waterway.
