Dredging leak?

EARLIER this winter narrowboatworld reported that  dredging contractors had caused a leak  on the Coventry Canal at Hopwas.

This was all 'hushed up' at the time, but now a stoppage notice has been issued stating that the canal will be closed from Monday 1st March until the 12th March, at the same location, which reads:

'Dewatering and repair of a severe leak into 3rd party property, to be completed during existing stoppage period. There will be full canal and towpath closure from Dixon's Bridge to Hopwas School Bridge'.

That can only leave boaters wondering if this  is the result of the poor dredging procedure...
