Another Trent waterside plan

THERE have been no few plans put forward for the area of the Trent below Nottingham, with none coming to fruition, but now there's another one.

The new plans are for a £25 millions retail and leisure development on a five acres site of an old laundry by the side of the river below Holme Lock, and have been submitted by Cedar House Investments.

The aim is to transform the former Sunlight Laundry site into the normal retail, office and leisure space, which will be named Waterside.

The application for the scheme follows a public consultation where more than 100 people gave their opinions, with the company relating that the plans were well received.

In the past other plans have been put forward for the area, but none have come into being.
