New café and shop owners

CHURCH Minshull Aqueduct Marina café and shop now have new proprietors.

Georgina Ford and Andrew Bell have taken over both the shop and café at the  marina, with the shop being renamed  Total Boats, which we are told now stocks a wide range of boating bits and pieces, including those useful, but hard to find, items needed for a life afloat (based on Georgina's and Andrew's experience fitting out their own two hire boats).

Georgina tells us:

"The café, called The Galley, is now fully licenced and offers a warm welcome to anyone whether they are walking, cycling, boating or just passing by and in need of refreshment. A range of daily specials are offered as well as home made sandwiches and cakes, great coffee, a variety of speciality teas and a warm welcome. Take a break at The Galley for traditionally cooked, honest food.

"We are sure that Aqueduct Marina will be a good location for us. We have only been here a short while, but The Galley is doing well so far, and we have been very pleased to welcome walkers and cyclists, as well as boaters and passers-by. We are looking forward to the summer season when we hope the terrace overlooking the marina and the canal will prove a big attraction."

A meeting room accommodating up to 20 people is also available adjacent to the café. To book or to make enquiries, please contact Georgina on 01270 525043.
