Harold's body found

HAROLD SPENCER who we reported missing has now been found drowned in the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
It was yesterday (Thursday) afternoon that his body was discovered by police divers underneath Linacre Road Bridge at Bootle, near where the last sighting of him took place.
As reported he had been missing from his home since the morning of Saturday, 2nd January, with a massive search undertaken including CCTV footage being scanned and even a police helicopter involved.
The family launched a missing person appeal, with posters circulated throughout Bootle and Liverpool.
