L&L swing bridge hit

THE Leeds & Liverpool Canal Iis presently closed at Coxhead Swing Bridge (20).

This has been caused by a vehicle striking the bridge and putting it out of action, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Cannot be operated

The bridge is in the closed position and cannot be operated, though contractors have been informed who will be carrying out investigations on how work can proceed to get it repaired.
