Tapton Lock Festival

THE Tapton Lock Festival held at Chesterfield on the Chesterfield Canal is this year hosted by Junction Arts.

This years programme boasts an out-door theatre, arts and crafts workshops, choirs and brass bands, boat rides, climbing wall and more, and is held over the week-end of 15th and 16th of September from 11.00am to 4.00pm each day.

Performances

During the two days there will be performances by Pif Paf Theatre’s Action Painting, Notts Circus Aerial Cabaret Show and Ashover Brass Band Unison Choir.

Workshops will include Junction Arts, Chesterfield Rocks, Jumping Clay, Susan White and Eco Centre Dry Stone Walling.

Displays and activities will be presented by Hardwick Hall, Creswell Crags Museum, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, RSPB Climbing Wall and Have a Go canoes.

Food and drink

Also on site will be plenty of food and drink including the Drone Valley Brewery, the Badger Barrister and the Food Box.

The site is opposite Tesco Extra on the A61.
