Another breach in the making?

THERE is the possibility of yet another breach on the Shropshire Union with water pouring out of a hole in the bank.

Brian Jarrett has sent us a video of water pouring out of the canal bank just North of Bridge 61 on the Shropshire Union Canal South of Market Drayton. (Alas it is copyright so cannot be reproduced.)

Aware

We are told that Canal & River Trust are aware but so far have done nothing.

If this breaches then the Llangollen Canal will be completely cut-off.
