Keeping up the tradition of falling in!

ENGLISH drunks are keeping up their tradition of falling into canals, but this time in Amsterdam.

Football fans are in Amsterdam for the 'friendly' with the Netherlands, spending their time by the side of the canals in the city throwing beer cans and bottles at passing boats, with one drunk of course falling in, Alan Tilbury reports.

No calls for fencing

But there will be no silly calls for fencing as he was rescued and arrested, as have 24 more for drunken behaviour on Saturday night, with the total eventually nearing 100 for public order offences.

The Football Association is to review those caught up in trouble in Amsterdam and punish them accordingly.
