'Back to the land'

I CAN empathise with your correspondent Kim Gentry who has had enough of narrowboating, as you have to be a particular breed to weather the difficulties, and I too am not one of them, writes William Sandwood.

By Monday we too had had enough of the struggle to keep our boat warm so went on the internet to dscover a Premier Inn listed as just one minute from the raiway station, and as we were moored at the top of the '21' by the station, the decision was made.

Warm nights

We have had a couple of warm nights and had food in a warm room, and intend to stay until this weather eases.

Then following in the footsteps I am sure of many others, it will be 'back to the land' for us and yet another narowboat for sale.
