Experience the restored Chesterfield Canal

THOUGH the western end of the Chesterfield Canal is not available for cruising you can still experience the entire restored section by trip boat.

The Chesterfield Canal Trust's trip boat John Varley operates Special Occasion six hours cruises on the waterway from Tapton Lock by the Tesco roundabout in Chesterfield.

These cruises start at 10am and take in the entire restored section from Chesterfield to Staveley and include a meal at the Hollingwood Hub, but booking essential.

The John Varley is a brand new, state of the art trip boat with a large wheelchair lift, a foredeck, a hearing loop and lots of other features.
