IWA's wrong priorities

I see the Inland Waterways Association is opposed to the widening of the towpath in Edgbaston Tunnel in Birmingham as it will restrict boats, writes T. Lang.

But I don't see any opposition from the association to the indefinite closure of the Leicester Section or the other indefinite closure of the Marple Flight.

IWA priorities

I just do not understand the IWA's priorities these days—getting worked-up over boats having to wait a few minutes whilst another boat comes through a short tunnel yet not a word about the complete closure of waterways.

To borrow one of Victor's phrases, since it 'got into bed' with Canal & River Trust it has definitely lost its enthusiasm as a crusading association against the Trust and its ways.
