A BODY has been discovered in the Soar by the Otter pub moorings near Kegworth, with the police baffled by its identity.

The body of a man was reported by a moorer on Sunday, but the police have been unable to identify the body and are appealing for help, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Despite extensive enquiries and questioning boaters at the moorings and staff at the Otter, officers on behalf of the coroner have been unable to identify the body, and therefore unable to inform his next of kin.

The man appears to be in his 60's and was wearing smart black trousers, a dark blue jacket with gold coloured buttons and a casual lumber jack style shirt with large blue squares.

He was also wearing a gold Limit branded watch and a gold sovereign style ring.
