AGAINST great opposition the plans for a floating restaurant in Brayford Pool on the Fossdyke in Lincoln have been passed.

This is against the wishes of many Lincoln residents who believe that building a new floating restaurant at Brayford Pool will rob the waterway of its character, and will be the start of even more development, Alan Tilbury reports.

Refused

When first muted last year, these plans to build another restaurant at Brayford Pool were refused by Lincoln City Council's planning committee, but was given the 'go-ahead' by the planning inspectorate when the investors launched an appeal.

Many have argued that if more and more plans are being upheld for the Pool, one of the few assets of the city will be completely ruined, as more and more bars and restaurants are being allowed to crowd out the water space.
