CaRT pushing for angling and canoeing

TASTER sessions are being organised by Canal & River Trust to get people to use its waterways for angling and canoeing.

'Lets Fish!' and canoe sessions and being organised to get more anglers and canoeist to the canals, starting with a taster session at Devizes last Saturday, Alan Tilbury reports.

Completely free

Such fish and canoe days are completely free and are part of a nationwide campaign to introduce the sports as a way for families to relax, with the Trust's fishing manager stating that the event was a huge success with many families taking part, hoping that the free taster sessions will get more people involved.

Let’s Fish! is part of the National Fishing Month that is currently running and comprises of pre-bookable events, where coaches give instruction on angling, with many also including taster canoe sessions.
