Through and over Blisworth Tunnel

SUCH was the popularity of the 'Over and Under the Hill'—through and over Blisworth Tunnel on the Grand Union Canal that it has been arranged again for the end of July.

Another chance to join walkers and a boat trip through Blisworth Tunnel will be on Saturday 29th July at 5pm, meeting at Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum.

The event starts with a boat trip through the historic 200 years old Blisworth Canal Tunnel on trip boat Charlie with a commentary about how it was built, its features and history, then walk back over the top of Blisworth Hill to Stoke Bruerne with walks guides who will point out features of interest relating to the canal and its construction along the way.

The walk distance is about two miles and duration is two hours. Suitable clothing and stout footwear are recommended. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.

The boat and walk is being organised by Stoke Bruerne Canal Partnership in conjunction with Stoke Bruerne Boat Company, The Canal Museum and the Canal and River Trust.
